MIW Radio Group Names Erika Beasley the Inaugural "MIW Rising Star" and Will Present the Award During the MIW Radio Group Annual Dinner at the 2016 Radio Show in Nashville
Boston, MA (August 30, 2016): The Mentoring and Inspiring Women in Radio (MIW) Group is pleased to announce that it has formed an alliance with Marketron to establish the "MIW Rising Star Award," named in honor and memory of the late Renée Roth, Marketron's long-time Vice-President of International Sales. The MIW Rising Star is awarded to the top scoring scholarship recipient from the annual Rising Through the Ranks program.
Each summer, the Radio Advertising Bureau (RAB), Broadcast Music, Inc. (BMI), and Mentoring and Inspiring Women in Radio Group (MIW) present "Rising Through the Ranks," a training seminar dedicated to the support and advancement of women in Radio sales management. Now in its 9th year, the program is designed for 20 participants and a portion of their expenses is covered by scholarships.
Rising Through the Rank’s 2016 class was held August 24 – 25 in Nashville, where Beasley Media Group General Sales Manager (Tampa Bay) Erika Beasley was recognized as the inaugural MIW Rising Star. Ms. Beasley will receive her award during the MIW Radio Group's "Denim & Diamonds" dinner, which will take place on September 21st at the 2016 Radio Show in Nashville, Tennessee.
