MIW FRANCES PRESTON TRAILBLAZER AWARD

MIW’s Trailblazer Award, named for music industry pioneer and longtime Broadcast Music, Inc. (BMI) President and CEO Frances Preston, is MIW’s highest accolade. It is presented annually to a woman who, through her leadership and accomplishments in the industry, champions and creates opportunities for other women in radio to further their careers. The MIW Trailblazer Award is presented during the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) Show.

AIRBLAZER AWARD

The MIW Airblazer Award stems from an alliance formed in 2015 between MIW and Morning Show Bootcamp (MSBC). The recipient is carefully selected, as is tradition, by the prior year’s recipient and is recognized for her dedication and contributions to the broadcast industry and to the communities she serves. The 2023 Airblazer Award was presented to Dana Cortez, during the Morning Show Boot Camp, on Friday, August 11, 2023 at the Marriott Uptown Hotel in Dallas, TX.
