THE MIW GROUP EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE WELCOMES FOUR NEW MEMBERS

Naples, Fla (May 21, 2020): The Mentoring & Inspiring Women in Radio (MIW) Group, a volunteer organization committed to developing management and leadership skills for women in radio, is pleased to announce the addition of four new members to the MIW Group Executive Committee.  Listed alphabetically, these esteemed radio broadcasting professionals include: Angie Balderas, Senior Vice President & General Manager Entravision; Valerie Blackburn, Principal VKB Media Consulting; Tricia Gallenbeck, Vice President & General Manager Reno Media Group; and Beth Neuhoff, Chief Executive Officer and President Neuhoff Media.

 

MIW Group National Spokeswoman Denyse Mesnik says, “Seasoned radio pros, these accomplished ladies bring expertise in a variety of areas, years of experience in leadership and well-earned reputations as some of the best in the business. They are perfect additions to the MIW Executive Committee and, not surprisingly, they’ve already hit the ground running on behalf of the MIWs! We also extend heartfelt thanks to two good friends and long-term MIW colleagues transitioning off of the Executive Committee, Heidi Raphael, Chief Communications Officer Beasley Media Group (MIW Spokeswoman from 2008-2014) and Jennifer Williams, Vice President Digital Marketing Beasley Media Group. They leave with our immense gratitude for many years of dedication and service to the MIWs.”

As we welcome our new members, it is a privilege for the MIW Executive Committee to provide a glimpse of their professional strengths and accomplishments.

 

Angie Baldaras serves as Senior Vice President & General Manager for Entravision's Sacramento & Stockton premier Hispanic radio stations, currently overseeing eight radio stations under five brands.  She brings 30-plus years of experience in broadcast media sales working at both the local and national level, interacting with agencies; forging long-term relationships with brands that are intractable.

 

Valerie Blackburn, VKB Media Consulting Principal, is a top level executive with a proven grasp of big picture business operations in project management, financial and strategic planning, and human resources. Valerie has overseen the financial operations for some of America’s most successful broadcast operators in their top markets, frequently implementing breakthrough systems during her tenure with each company.

 

Tricia Gallenbeck is the Vice President and General Manager of Reno Media Group overseeing nine radio stations in Reno, NV. She has served on The Radio Show steering committee and as a panelist and speaker at National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) Conventions and the Radio Show. Additionally, she is a graduate of the MIW Mildred Carter Mentoring Program, a graduate of the National Association of Broadcasters Leadership Foundation (NABLF) “Broadcast Leadership Training Program” and currently serves on the board of the Nevada Broadcasters Association. 

Beth Neuhoff, as CEO of Neuhoff Media, oversees a Company of 20 radio stations and 16 locally focused digital music, information and entertainment sites that serve over a million consumers from Illinois to Indiana. Throughout her distinguished career, she has been elected to key leadership roles within the broadcasting industry (including the NAB, NABLF and Broadcasters Foundation of America) and is a graduate of the NABLF “Broadcast Leadership Training Program.” Beth has received numerous industry, national and state awards, including the MIW Group Frances Preston Trailblazer Award, the MIW’s highest honor.
