Teresa Cox-Stanton’s broadcasting career has spanned over the past two decades. An industry veteran, she spent the initial ten years of her career working in St. Joseph, Missouri and the past ten years employed at the Carter Broadcast Group in Kansas City, MO.
Teresa began her career in direct sales at KKJO Radio in 1986, receiving numerous top sales awards over the eight year period she was there. After a two year stint in television at KQTV, Teresa went onto to work at KPRS-FM in Kansas City.
Since 1996, Teresa has been a top sales achiever at the Carter Broadcast Group. She was recently promoted to Co-National Sales Manager of the organization. In her role, Teresa is responsible for actively driving national sales for three radio stations. She reports directly to the Vice-President of the company, Mr. Vic Dyson, and General Sales Manager, Mr. Todd Fries.
Teresa is a past secretary of the St. Joseph Ad club and is a member of the Kansas City Media Mix Club. In addition, she is a member of the St. Joseph Rotary club.
Teresa attended Missouri Western State College in St. Joseph, Mo.
She is the proud mother of two sons (Brandon and Nathaniel) and two grandsons (Benjamin and Austin). In the summer of 2006, Teresa married Michael Stanton of Lee’s Summit and is currently enjoying making a new home for their combined families.
