Dallas, Texas (June 4, 2026):   Mentoring and Inspiring Women in Radio, Inc. (MIW), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to advancing female leadership in radio broadcasting, proudly announces the opening of applications for its 8th Annual Elevating Women in Programming Mentorship.

Designed specifically for women working in radio programming, the year-long mentorship connects one rising programming professional with some of the industry's most accomplished content leaders. Through personalized mentorship, strategic networking opportunities, and career-focused guidance, the program is designed to help participants strengthen their leadership skills and accelerate their professional growth.

As part of the experience, the selected mentee will also attend the 2027 NAB Show in Las Vegas, one of the industry's premier events for audio, media, and technology professionals.

The mentorship is open to one female Brand Manager, Content/Program Director, Assistant Program Director, or Music Director from any U.S.-based radio format. Applications are open now and will be accepted through July 2, 2026. Interested candidates can apply HERE.

"Strong programming leaders are essential to the future of radio, and this mentorship is designed to help talented women gain the confidence, connections, and support needed to take the next step in their careers," said Sheila Kirby, President of Mentoring and Inspiring Women in Radio. "Over the past eight years, we've had the privilege of working with exceptional women who have gone on to make a significant impact in our industry. We look forward to continuing that tradition and helping develop the next generation of programming leadership."

Since its inception, the Elevating Women in Programming Mentorship has supported and empowered women across the country. Past mentees include Meg Dowdy, Regional Content Director, Townsquare Media; Traci LaTrelle, Music Director and Assistant Program Director, WHUR-FM/Washington, DC; Leslie Scott, General Manager at DoStuff Media; Grisel Barajas, a rising programming leader whose legacy continues to inspire the industry; Amanda “Ice” Habrowski, Mornings on WDZH/Detroit, Audacy; Kiran Riar, Assistant Program Director and On-Air Personality for WMPS and WHBQ in Memphis; and most recently, Hannah Brummer, Midday Host for Chicagoland's Free Country (98.3 & 102.3), Connoisseur Media.
