Rosemary Scott, Certified Radio Marketing Expert and Certified Digital Marketing Consultant, is a nationally recognized research director specializing in media marketing and consumer research, with over 20 years of experience in Research, Marketing, and Public Relations. Ms. Scott is currently Vice President of Research and Corporate Communications for Border Media Partners where is responsible for developing marketing and communication strategies for multiple radio stations across four Texas markets.

Prior to joining Border Media, Rosemary served South Texas Regional Director of Research and Marketing for Univision Radio; Director of Research and Marketing for Hispanic Broadcasting Corporation; Director of Hispanic Marketing for KTFM (Waterman Broadcasting), Director of Research and Development for TK Communications, and Director of External Public Relations for Tichenor Media System. Her experience also includes being a principal of a marketing and research agency, “Guy Scott and Associates” in the 1990’s, where she represented many local and national clients including Fortune 500 clients. She has worked on accounts ranging from several hundred dollars to ten million dollars, and her proudest achievements have been helping her clients become more profitable.

Ms. Scott is a well-known Marketing Journalist whose articles have appeared in many industry magazines and newspapers throughout the United States including Ad Week, Billboard, The M-Street Journal, Direct Marketing, Hispanic, Hispanic Business, CTAM (Cable Television Administration Marketing), San Antonio Express News, The Miami Herald, WOAI Business Weekly, Radio Ink and many others. She has been affiliated as a freelance journalist with the Texas Governor’s Music Office for fifteen consecutive years. Additionally, as a PR expert she has pitched stories and acquired press for her represented companies and clients from some of the most prominent news organizations in the world including the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, USA Today, CNN, the BBC, and many others.

Recognized as an industry leader who is always willing to help others and give back to her industry, Ms. Scott has served on the Radio Advertising Bureau’s prestigious Sales Advisory Committee for eight years from 1997-2005; she was named Chair of the Steering Committee for the NAB Radio Show 2003; she served on the MLC RAB Conference Planning Committee from 2005–2009, and she served on the Radio Ink Hispanic Radio Conference Planning Committee in 2007 and 2008.

A well-known speaker, Rosemary has been featured at many Radio Advertising Bureau Conventions and National Broadcaster’s Association Conventions both as a presenter and panelist. She was a featured speaker at several IFAE (International Association of Fairs and Expositions) Conventions through the years; and was featured as a Headline Speaker at the 2008 NMBA (New Mexico Broadcaster’s Association) Convention in Albuquerque where she addressed issues and challenges facing Hispanic radio broadcasters. In addition, she has also been a guest speaker at various other civic and broadcasting organizations throughout her career.

In 2001, Rosemary Scott received the “Most Valuable Research Director Award,” from Hispanic Broadcasting Corporation, and in 2003 she was named finalist from Univision Radio as Research Director of the Year. In 2007, Rosemary Scott won the distinguished “Medallas de Cortez” Marketer of the Year Award from Radio Ink Magazine for her contributions to Hispanic Radio. She has been included in the prestigious group, Most Influential Women in Radio for four consecutive years, from 2007 to 2010. Additionally, Rosemary Scott was the only research director in San Antonio to receive a city-wide award in both 2007 and 2008 in conjunction with AWRT and the San Antonio Media Alliance for outstanding research.

Rosemary Scott is a graduate of Trinity University. She is married with three grown sons, and resides in Schertz, Texas, and takes an active part in her community. She currently sits on the Board of Directors for the Schertz Economic Development Corporation, and her hobbies include reading classical literature, gardening, and being a West Point Mom.
