Denise Oliver is co-founder of the innovative online video startup Shortform.com She also advises companies on their national radio and internet initiatives and has worked with leading brands including Discovery Communications, Hachette Filipacchi, Sirius, Fox News, Forbes, the Associated Press and E!

Before forming her consultancy, Denise served as SVP Programming at Westwood One, where she managed content partnerships with such high profile brands as Fox News Channel, CNNRadio, CNBC, NBC-TV’s The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, MTV, VH1 and CBS Marketwatch.com. She then co-founded the Internet start up Binary Broadcasting which allowed radio listeners to customize their favorite stations via the web.

Denise began her network career developing programming for the launch of the ABC Rock Radio Network and later took on the management of all entertainment programming for the ABC Radio Networks. Prior to working in networks and syndication, she launched Baltimore’s number one rock station, 98 Rock, and programmed DC101, Washington where she hired and teamed Howard Stern and Robin Quivers in morning drive, doubling the station’s audience in one rating period. Starting her career on the air, Denise hosted top-rated afternoon drive shows in Pittsburgh, Washington, DC and Baltimore.

Denise is known for identifying and working with talent and has taken a special interest in helping women build careers in radio. She also helped launch the pioneering GreenStone Media, the first radio network for women.

Denise is a former chairperson of the programming committee for the annual NAB (National Association of Broadcasters) Radio Show. She also chaired the NAB’s Resource Development Committee whose mission is to attract a high quality, diverse workforce to broadcasting.
